Rugged coastline, stunning sandy beaches and exciting cliff walks make this an ideal location for a holiday of exploring Australia. The caravan parks can become very crowded during peak periods.

Since I've visited the Wilsons Prom, I can't forget the place. It offers you so unusual and beautiful nature sceneries that you will remember them for all your life. It is so popular place for local people that to stay there you have to plan your trip a year in advance. But the secret is - you can stay in... More

Wilson's Promontory, or the 'Prom' as it's known locally is a favourite destination of Melburnians. It's one I take visitors to if there's a full day to spare. I've thus visited it more times than I remember and I've still to explore it fully. A National park within striking distance of Melbourne, it has everything that attracts. White-sand beaches, where... More

Making it to the southernmost point in continental Australia officially completing all fours points on the map we did some hikes in Wilsons Promontory National Park in December and it was a beautiful area. We took our chances and wild camped a couple of nights, explored some very nice beaches and saw some wonderful scenery. Squeaky Beach and Mount Oberon... More

Wilsons Promontory has beautiful beaches. The water was warmer than our last visit. Would love to do a trek on another visit. The only downfall is that there is not enough car parks throughout the park especially Squeaky beach and Tidal river, it is a shame that people were forced to park on the grassland and sides of the road,... The national park is stunning. We were lucky to visit squeaky beach (300 m from car park ) whiskey bay and picnic bay (about 600 m from car park) and Norman bay and to follow few walking paths, including the mount Oberon summit walk (6.4 km return walk). Everything was amazing, beautiful, natural. It was very busy and at times... More

We were here for just a day trip and the weather wasn't great but we could see how families, nature enthusiasts and walking fanatics could stay here for a day, week or month. Pathways are clear, there's a visitor centre at Mt. Oberon with friendly staff, good facilities and everywehere you look it's just gorgeous nature. We only had time... More

I had one afternoon and one morning to explore the park. On the afternoon I visited a number of the beaches on the western side - all of which involved some easy walking on bush tracks to the shore. I enjoyed the area around Tidal River and saw how busy it would be in the summer. Camping and other accommodation... More

Visited over the course of a couple of days, extended original trip as loved the area so much. The park is stunning...no other word for it. The walks are well taken care of and well signposted. The walk up mount bishop is a good entry to the area and then going down to squeaky beach and walking the coast for... More
