This place lies in shaoshan which is mao ze dong's hometown. He had planned to retire in the residential apartment here in this park which is also called water dripping cave ( di shui dong). In the heat of July, the stairs up to the tigers and the tomb seem to never end, but there are places to stop and get a drink along the way. The "cave" isn't a cave, but a building where Mao met local leaders in 1966. There is an additional charge to go in, but it is mildly interesting. Outside... More
