About
Our guests will be greeted at the barn located steps away from the gorgeous beach. Here we will match you with one of our beloved horses and adjust your equipment and give you basic tips and instructions on how to ride. Once we are all set and ready, we will take our private trail to the beach that is one of the largest stretches in Central America. Crossing little rivers and riding where the jungle meets the ocean. Our horses are trained by a professional equestrian that uses natural horsemanship.

This was a wonderful experience. The setting is wonderful and Sylvia made it unique. After some instructions at the stables we went on to ride along this wonderful beach. The horses were beautiful and you can tell she really cares for them. They are calm too, and although I am not an experienced rider, it was really enjoyable. This was a dream come true for me and I would highly recommend the experience.

For myself the best part was the amount of time you got to spend interacting with the horse as well as the guide the location and opportunity to ride a little bit through an open field through some trees along the beach fortunately there was also a sloth or a family of located currently at that time up in the tree in front of the owner's house which they kindly pointed out which I thought was really cool, the horses were fantastic responded directly and as expected from a trained horse this is definitely a location that respects and treats their horses kindly and expects the visitors to do the same you'll definitely be happy if you should choose to utilize CR Beach Barn has your horseback riding Adventure while you're staying near the Jaco area. Should I get the opportunity to be in this area again in the future I will definitely be stopping by and likely bringing friends for another ride across the beach.

This was an amazing ride! The horses are wonderful and calm, we rode on a beautiful beach and Sylvia was a great guide. She knows her stuff and is very respectful of her horses!

Extremely friendly guide took my daughter and I on a sunset tour. The horses were calm and perfect for a non experienced rider. The beach here was so beautiful and much less crowded than the Jaco area, where we were considering riding. I’m so happy we decided to book with CR Beach Barn and will cherish our memory!

My cousin, sister and I rode on the beach yesterday at 4:00, Sunday, January 29. Sylvia matched us up with the proper horse. I was the least experienced, my cousin has ridden horses all her life and my sister somewhere in the middle. The horses are in great shape, do not have a bit and are lovely to ride. This is a place that truly loves their horses and definitely takes good care of them. The beach we rode on was lovely and WIDE. We rode a bit in the surf, across a small river and along the beach road enjoying the houses along the way, but mostly on the beach. Lots of shore birds, people surf casting, families playing in the water. It’s a great beach if you’d like to go swimming. They even have a sloth living in the tree on their property. FYI. You do not need to be an experienced rider to enjoy this activity. We’re staying in CR 5 weeks and, except for our birdwatching tours, this was my most enjoyable activity. I highly recommend it for all ages.

My son and I had a WONDERFUL experience riding here! 100% recommend doing this!! Sylwia was so very kind getting us set up for a most enjoyable and beautiful ride. This was my son's first time riding, and Sylvia's instructions were so very helpful.

Was a total rip off beware and stay away from this place. If you want a nice horse back riding tour Jaco beach has the best.

Unfortunately you arrived exactly 40 minutes late and the other guests on the same tour had plans so the tour left without you.
Our policy is no refunds unless we are informed 2 hours before, as we keep the spots and prepare the horses and equipment for you.
Please note that you were late and actually never experienced the tour with us! Thanks

Horses were unequally yoked. Booked a private couples ride. The guide did not match up the horses with the person. Rather, we were left riding at very different paces. Horses were tired and did not seem to want to even be out for a ride.Guide was promiscuous and flirty with spouse.

I can't say enough about how amazing Sylvia and this entire experience was during my solo trip to Costa Rica. Not only did I book the wrong date (for a week later than I thought I had), when I called to ask why the gates weren't open, Sylvia opened the gates and personally rearranged her morning to ensure I was still able to ride. She's an incredible tour guide, a gracious "coach" when I needed reminding how to ride and a terrific conversationalist. A million stars to this female owned business and I will be back soon!!!

My friend and I booked this tour and had the most amazing time! Sylwia was a wonderful guide and we could tell that she was passionate about natural horsemanship and the wellbeing of her animals. The scenery was breathtaking with very few people around! We felt like we were the only ones around in this stretch of beach. Would 1,000% recommend this tour!
