The diving here is quite interesting and varied, though I didn't trust that the water was very clean. Trash floats everywhere on the surface, and many dive sites are littered with trash as well.

Great diving for little critters, but lots of garbage in strait sadly...visibility is fair due to volcanic muck diving conditions...

The Lembeh Straits are world famous for muck diving. This is not pretty coral reef diving, though there are a couple of sites with some good corals. This is the place people come to see rare creatures. The diving is mostly on rubble or black sand, and yes there can be trash in the water. However the rewards are incredible.... More

If you like muck diving and small creatures, sometimes tiny, this is a must for your bucket list. Most sites are black sand with some coral but wild life galore. This is a photographers dream. Most dive operations offer a mandarin dusk dive that has to be experienced. The water is calm but can be hazy occasionally, keep your dive buddy... More

So many critters to see. There was always a new surprise on each of the 3-4 daily dives. The biodiversity is incredible! Don't forget to take your camera + macro lense.
