We were 3 adults and 4 children (aged 9 to 13), Had booked 3 pedal boats. The children especially enjoyed finding the clues and solving the riddle. But just navigating in this wide swamp laced with numerous channels forming a maze was relaxing. We had a breezy and cloudy day which was fine and no bugs, Saw some birds, turtle... More

Who would think that in the middle of this location - a large water maze with paddle boats and a well-thought-out itinerary to follow would be available for a summer experience. Have fun.

Wonderful setting. You get to travel on a pedal boat that you pedal through swampy area looking for clues about wildlife that live in this type of environment. When we went, we did not have issues with bugs. We found it very informative. The set-up is great. Great activity to do on a summer day. I would even suggest this... More

Thanks for your comment! Effectively people are surprised that there is no bugs in the marsh, thanks to dragonflyes, frogs and bats. We have schools coming for Biology classes, they learn by searching in the book for different species they find in our environment. Wakefield village is also a great place to go, even for just a walk. More

This was an amazing activity that we will definitely do again. We went with two kids (3 and 7) and everyone enjoyed it. We did the discoverer and the kids both participated. We were able to see turtles and frogs (lots), some birds and one duck! I think we could have seen lots more because the habitat is so well... More

45 mins away from Ottawa, the means to this place is just as beautiful as the end. A beautiful drive along the country side to Wakefield with a small diversion takes one to this cute habitat tucked into a marsh and silent environment. The water maze is a unique and fun experience for families to do together with an element... More

My family and have been going there once a year for the past 3 years and I hope to keep going there for years to come. For about 50$ per pedal boat, you get to explore a gigantic maze in a real swamp. The flora and wildlife are so rich, and the perspective you have from a pedal boat is... More

We rented one of their small canoes, it was perfect for the narrow channels through the marsh. Great way to spend half a day. The area is well laid out. If you do not have experience in a canoe you can use a paddle boat or take a walking tour. Excellent value for the money. Perfect for couple or family... More

At intersection 3 we were already missing the element to identify. We tried to call with the walkie talkie but got no answer. We took the initiative to go to one of the next intersections and by chance found the next element. After 2 other intersections, the element was not missing this time but was wrong. We called again, were... More
