As i was on the Swiss border I visited the site. I picked the only day it was closed but it did look good.

We called here on a very hot day on our way to Ornans to pay a quick visit and enjoy a picnic. The building itself is very impressive and the accessible gardens ideal picnic areas. We decided to include a guided tour of the interior. The cost of this tour was seven Euros and was projected to last one and... More

The castle occupies the top of the hill that looks small but from the inside you will see that it is really extensive forth to the area and to the depth. For visit you have to join a guided tour (held approx. every 30 minutes, price is moderate). Some parts of the guide speech are closely related to the history... More

This is a nice place to visit. You learn a lot but you also walk a lot. The beginning of the visit is outside and then you go in. You will take a lots of steps so make sure you have no stroller with you. The baby carrier for the baby was a must. Not sure if they do visit... More

Our guided tour was informative and interesting......if you like chateaux etc, you will love it. The service in the coffee shop was a bit "off" though! The proprietor seemed disinterested and was rather rude!

This chateau has a commanding position, so you can't but be amazed at how it was built. Take a tour with a guide if you can. The many rooms and great restoration make it a worthwhile trip.

Spectacular views from this quirky amazing place situated on a sheer limestone cliff. It is easy to drive past but worth the stop.

A wonderful place, perched on a craggy outcrop and pretty well preserved . Not a ruin. You really get a feeling for the past history of this fascinating area. There are an awful lot if steps, mind, so be prepared for a bit of a climb. There are guided visits in French and also hand held audio guides in a... More

It was one of the most interesting excursions in the castles I've ever met, with a lot of amazing stories told by the guide, a young girl. And it was very long. At the end all the visitors applauded very sincerely. Attention - really a lot of steps up and down during the tour!
