I've probably never seen whiter, finer sand than on Shoal Bay Beach. Waves are gentle, ocean is that perfect, vivid blue-green. A great beach for swimming. There are enough beach bars and restaurants to keep you satisfied but not too many to spoil the beach. This beach has a quiet and relaxed vibe to it; it's not an "activity" beach,... More

Beautiful and peaceful beach. The sand is very very soft. There are annoy beach guys that bother you. This is a great beach

We took a taxi over from the ferry at Blowing Hole, the drive gave a great review of the island. The beach is easy to enter and the sand is like powder. Snorkeling is good off the beach for novice swimmers.

Great white sand but it is not a quiet beach. There is one bar after the other. With the same beautiful sand, I´d rather be at West Shoal Bay.

Going to Shoal Bay is one of life's magical experiences. Some days you don't realize it till after you leave. You can walk the beach, swim, sun, snorkel, kite surf, hang out on a boat, eat at the restaurants or stay at the hotels. No matter what the vista of the sea is breathtaking. Contemplating the myriad of blues within... More

I'll keep it simple...this Beach is BEAUTIFUL!!!! Not many people, quiet and breathtaking!! Only semi downside is that there was a man and a lady walking around that kept trying to sell us stuff and that got a tad annoying but you have to expect that I'm the Caribbean.

So we were told to take the ferry for a day trip to Anguilla. Shoal Bay we were told was pristine. So we ventured to the ferry and bought two tickets $5 each. Once on the ferry we are each asked for $20 - that money we paid on the dock was only the entrance fee. We had to pay... More

We took the Bluebeards charter catamaran over to Anguilla for the day to enjoy Shoal Bay. Even though the day was quite overcast we really enjoyed the beach. Beautiful soft, white sand and a calm, clear ocean. It was not crowded and had a long wide stretch of beach to walk. We rented 2 chairs and an umbrella for they... More

Even though it was quite windy and the sea was quite rough when we visited, we enjoyed this beach a lot. Beautiful white sand, lots of space, not very crowded. There are a number of beach shack where you can rent chairs and umbrellas and have a drink.

To experience this beach is to find paradise. The crystal clear waters, the immaculate white soft sand, no overcrowding, and tranquility I have never experienced before in a public setting. This along with the rest of Anguilla is our new home away from home.
