What a great name for a house and it is full of local artefacts, character and interest. Small locally made items are also for sale and at modest prices. Well done to the local group which manages the museum.

The museum focuses on the way of life of the locals over the past 200 years or so. Very much the story of ordinary folk wedded to land and sea. A lot of family information. Honesty drinks and biscuits.

This is a delightful little museum which homes in on the history and stories of the local industries, peoples and way of life in remote Shetland.

Stumbled upon this humble museum on the way to Eshaness and it was well worth the stop. This museum serves as a chronicle of life for the area of Northmavine and the effort and detail which has gone into it is astonishing. There was also a small corner with free tea and coffee, they only ask for donations, with such... More

Quaint small little museum housed in a former croft. The museum depicts life as it used to be with plenty of artefacts to view, many hands on!

It is worth a detour from the road to Eshaness to visit this little local museum. It is packed with items of local interest and we spent an hour or so looking around. There is a 'make it yourself' tea and coffee area and also photo albums to look at whilst you have a cuppa.

Different aspects of local life are displayed through the years with objects and photos. In addition there are toilets, a walled garden and gifts for sale. We visited on a lovely summer day and the views outside were amazing.

I love the Haa, been here many times, but I always find something new that amazes me, this year it was the transport photos of the vehicles used over the years in Northmavine

It was a great treat to find this lovely local museum, down a narrow road not far from the natural wonders of Eshaness. It is an interesting complement to the Croft Museum at the other end of Mainland, as it gives a glimpse of ;life at the other end of the social scale as well as having a most interesting... More
