On our way to Crawford Bay for a day trip. This free ferry is a 35 min ride there. Make sure you check the seasonal schedule so you don't miss it. Ferry holds 80 vehicles.

The ferry ride across Crawford Bay, which is free, was a fun 35 minute ride. The craft is modern, and it was easy to board. It was exhilarating to feel the breeze and admire the view as we crossed the bay. I highly recommend it.

Very enjoyable ferry ride from Balfour to Crawford Bay, which is a very quaint and interesting place with many different shops. We had lunch at Newkey's Place and would highly recommend it.

Wow, something free! A quick 35 minute ferry across Kootenay Lake to Balfour. Much easier and faster than driving from Nelson side. Scenic trip across the lake.

That shouldn't be a problem. There was an 18 wheeler logging truck on with us.
