A wonderful experience where we felt very safe. We are so sorry about the terrible tragedy on the same day. :(

We are so sad to hear that a client died during the Gibbon Experience! We finished the Express tour on the same day as the accident. My children (ages 14 and 12) and I said it was the most amazing experience ever! We truly enjoyed soaring through the sky, sleeping in the treehouse, interacting with the local Lao guides, hiking... We had booked to do the 2 night/3 day Classic Gibbon Experience starting 2nd April. Unfortunately there was an accident on a recent tour and business has been temporarily suspended until April 20th at the earliest. The company offered us either to re-schedule, or full refund (because of time constraints we chose the latter). Disappointing, but understandable that they must... More

We had a great time ziplining to some of the tallest treehouses in the world at Gibbon Experience a week ago with the whole family, including my two 19-year old girls (Waterfall Tour). So we were very shocked when an American guest died in the first fatal accident under unclear circumstances a few day after we were there. Not quite... More

I did the Classic 3 day - 2 night tour. The entire experience was unbelievable. The Zipline Network, the tree houses and of course the sight of wild gibbons (which we saw). It was all incredible! We had the opportunity to stay in tree house 7, which had an incredible view and shower! Monkey Mike was a fantastic guide as... More

Spend the day trekking through the jungle, wizzing through the trees on ziplines and listening to the gibbons singing. True, it’s expensive, but you won’t experience anything else like it. You need a reasonable level of fitness to do the hikes between the tree houses. Parts of the trails are very steep so you definitely need a decent pair of... More

You need to be fit & brave to tackle this unique adventure but the rewards are great. A very exhilarating experience indeed. Make sure you take some time away from the ziplines to experience the jungle itself, which offers many hidden surprises if you stop, look and listen.

I did the three day classic - amazing! The "gentle" hiking is not so gentle but everyone managed. Our group was in treehouse 1 and it was stunning. Food, guide, Forrest, animals - everything did not disappoint.

This is the #1 highlight of my six-month trip across Asia. Outstanding ziplines, posh treehouses, great food, good guides. Reasonable price. Highly recommend!

This was one of the best activities that I did on my 7 weeks of travelling. Hiking, zip lining, swimming (on the Waterfall tour), and sleeping in tree houses was all awesome. It was super hot though and the hiking was very rigorous. You must be in good shape to do the waterfall adventure. We had one person leave halfway... More

I'm a little conflicted on Gibbon Experience. On one hand, the ziplining experience is amazing, guides are incredibly fun and nice. They love their job. They have the perfect combination of professionalism and friendliness. On the other hand, I made lots of research after we came back to Huay Xai and I have some ethical concerns. The owner is not... Strange title... and comment. Makes me wonder about methodology, data source and rigor in cost calculation. Today is payday 😊There 140 permanent staff at the Gibbon Experience -although a visitor may only meet a fraction of them. They are (well) paid 12 months a year, not just during peak season. Likewise I wish we could just "buy" conservation as the... More
