Fun time! Clean and nice! TONS of little shops and places to eat. We spent the full day. The museums were enjoyable. We took a ton of pictures! Planning on going back again with my daughter that missed this trip.

If you're in Ecuador you must stop here; I mean really where else can you go to the middle of the world. It is well worth the drive and it doesn't consume much time so you can check it off your bucket list and get on with other sights in Quito.

This is the original middle of the world equatorial monument in Ecuador. It's $3.50 just to get in. It is very spacious and boasts beautiful landscaping, BUT it's not the "real" Equator. I was a little disappointed that I had to pay to see this old monument that is a fake. If you need to choose. I definitely recommend visiting... More

This Museum is 45 minutes from Quito, but worth the drive. If nothing else, you learn a ton of facts about the equator, things you never knew or probably forgot since middle school since we all live so far from the equator. The kids LOVED this place and the local tour guide gave us a 45 minute "walk through" with... More

Wonderful little town around the actual monument. Many great restaurants a artisanal shops for souvenirs. The museum inside the monument is very informative and up to date. There are 4 other museums as well. You can definitely make a day of the attraction.

Yep, not much of interest at the centre of the world except that you're at the centre of the world and how awesome is that! I loved it! Super easy to get via public transport takes around 90 minutes. Here's how to do it from Old Town *Start at Central La Marin Bus Station *Take Blue Metrobus to Ofelia Bus... More

Would be nice if the little museum at the base of the museum were free, but the little restaurants and shops on site were nice, and one still wouldn't want to miss being at the equator!

This place is a bit touristy granted, but once inside the vast campus there's plenty of opportunity to look beyond the shops and learn about Ecuador's history, geography, people and arts. Wonderful visit. Mostly outdoor so be prepared for rain.

Caught two buses from Quito which took an hour and half roughly. Was quite confused as to which was what and because of that didn't pay to go into the museum bit as I thought it was the other site that was on the ticket and didn't want to go to both. I now understand why the old site is... More
