You may or may not be a fan of Le Corbusier's artistic vision, and you may or may not be a fan of concrete, but his chapel just outside Ronchamp in the Vosges is definitely worth a visit. The church, built in only 2 years,...More

A chapel in the middle of nowhere, constructed by Le Corbusier. As improbable as it seems, it is real, even though hard to believe even when standing in front of it. Perhaps one his most successful and, yes, human designs, it blends perfectly with the...More

Coming to see this building is well worth the trip to its slightly remote location. This is apparently an excellent example of Le Corbusier's work, and it is clear why it is used as example of free thinking in architectural work. The building itself is...More

This is the only chapel (to my knowledge) built by the famous architect Le Corbusier (who was an atheist !). The place is lovely and quiet and peaceful. There is no cafetaria or anything, but you could book a night with the Saint-Clare's convent, which...More

An architectural must. The gentleman on reception was extremely helpful with directions about how best to view the highlights of the site and in calling a taxi to depart.

I always wanted to visit this Chapel since I saw a picture in a book when I was kid. I'm attracted by "crazy" architecture, and I have to say that I LOVED this place, even if I'm not catholic at all. The entrance fee is,...More

I like the exterior of this Chapel. It looks beautiful at all angles. The interior does need a bit of freshening up, kind of dim. The pure shape of this chapel is very impressive. The top is like a boat. After so many years, still...More

My husband and I will be staying in Colmar for 3 nights and we would like to use one of our days to visit Chapelle Notre-Dame du Haut. Do you know of a tour company that would offer a day tour to Ronchamp from Colmar?
