Path is marked reasonably well though the recent rain has washed some of it away. Going up was fine with spectacular views though we did not like the descent as we found it hard on the legs...perhaps a slower ascent would have been better.

Beinn Lora offers fantastic walk options, with a loop, any number of viewpoints, picnic stops along the way and then an extended route to the top.
Staying close by, at the North Ledaig campsite, there is a great walk along a disused train line to allow to the get from the campsite, to Benderloch, without any worry of the busy road near by. There is a convenience store at the bottom, with a cafe close, to stop before of after your trek.
The walk starts with a steep rise, so the ideal footwear is a must. Lol. It opens out the offers the first of the viewpoints, with a picnic bench, for anyone looking to take a breather. The laid path runs up and winds its way higher, with other stops and the most fantastic views across the coast, to the extended mainland and surrounding islands.
The first break is the extension of the initial loop; this is clearly marked by the colour coded posts, and offers an excellent first stage trail. However as the trail moves on, the next break is the eagles layer, which takes you out and back, to pick up a another great view. As your retrace your steps and return, the trail continues, for a bit, up to further picnic bench. Here you can sit and enjoy some stunning view out over the water, while sat relaxing.
At this point the trail changes from the well laid out paths, to the rougher bushy, and in some spots, the more boggy aspect of the trail. I would not imagine this would always be this way, if there had been a period on dry weather, but even then, the path through wasn’t too bad and you will fine some routes more challenging than others. Haha
The top is only 900 metres from the picnic bench and the views are superb, with a complete panoramic view.
I would highly recommend this walk to anyone staying close by and I know you will enjoy every aspect of the trail. Enjoy
