Nice Stop

A fun stop on the way to the Hamptons. Friendly service and some history. Don't expect anything fancy. Definitely worth it for the smile.

Have seen this place for the past 10 years, always closed. I will with my grandson and he wanted to go in. Small inventory and very expensive.

Despite living on LI for about 40 years, I had never been to, or even driven past the Big Duck. Decided to drop by on a day off with my family. The Big Duck is a sight to behold, but other than that is just a small gift shop with duck- and LI-themed gifts. Drop by, take a picture in... More

I first saw the Big Duck over years ago as a child on my first ride out to Southampton in the early 1950s. My father had told me about it and of course I did not believe him, but he proved himself true to his word. There was, truly, a big duck! AND there still is. And it's still ducky... More

Since my husband and I were out in the area with the kids I thought it might be fun to see what the big duck is. All it really is a big duck on the side of the road that stands about 20 feet high. According to the woman in the big duck it was once a poultry farm and... More

Whimsical and fun. Not much to it, but is a location legend which makes it a must see. Also be sure to visit the "Clam Dude"!

This is the one, the only Big Duck. I have lived on Long Island for 59 years. I have some very fond memories for visiting the Big Duck when it was the store at the duck farm and we went to buy, you guessed it, ducks. Over the years it has moved multiple times, but each time there is a... More

Classic American road trip tourist stop. There is a small gift shop at the site, but it wasn't open when I stopped. There is a small open area for a quick break if you've been traveling with kids and/or pets. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Living on Long Island my entire life, I have never actually visited the big duck...until now. It's honestly a big duck. My husband and I stopped here on a "coffee trail" we created/followed on our way out to Montauk. The parking for it is a gravel lot and you can enter the big duck either from the front or back....
