- IrynaKyiv, Ukraine735 contributionsNice place to swimWater and beach are clean. Cobblestone beach means that you need slippers for going into water. You also need to pay for an umbrella and a bench. I don't think they have free option to stay on the beach. You can order drinks and food from the local restaurant. Most of all I enjoyed early hours when the beach is empty and water is clean. And also snorkeling, lots of fish in the water.Visited July 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 21 July 2023
- carmen_mercurianBucharest, Romania17 contributionsVery nice beach and tavernIt is a peable beach, we got sunbeds at Piedra Del Mar and the selection was excellent. Sunbeds and umbrella had a very good price and we received also a bottle of cold water (it was the only beach we received this). The terrace is very nice with a great view on the sea. We also had lunch there, food was very good and service excellent. Unfortunately, we didn't return to this beach as we had to explore other places, but it was the first choice to return in case we would have more time. The beach has a generous space, water beautiful and with possibilities for practicing watersports.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 2 August 2023
- Dom NDHigh Wycombe, United Kingdom6 contributionsWonderful beach. Definitely hard to beat.Wonderful beach. You can be with the sun loungers and bars. Not too crowded or find a quiet spot to the right of the bars. Really nice snorkelling to the right. Lots of fish. Great beach for lounging, playing in sea, snorkelling and you have all the water sports. Spent a week here and it beat any other beach we visited. Pro tip: if you want the quiet end you can park down a road on the right just before Barbati. It’s signposted villa renata and some other villa. But keep eyes peeled you might miss it. It is on a bend opposite a lay-by. Shirt walk to beach bars from there.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 August 2023
- jfarmer007Liverpool, United Kingdom21 contributionsCrystal clear waterLovely beach. Sat on the beds owned by verde blu beach bar €20 for two and an umbrella but you get a bottle of water plus the thickest padding on the sunbeds ever, incredibly comfortable. The water was fantastic, beautifully clear and clean with silver and black fish darting around. Nice showers adjacent to beach. Had an amazing lunch from verde blu, and used their toilets and changing rooms, nicest beach I’ve seen on Corfu.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 30 September 2023

The beach has fish that bite you continuously. I got 2 big chunks out of my legs by what look like sea bream. Diamond shape silver fish. I felt the teeth go in and then they attached to my leg and sucked my blood. It was painful. It cost us 75 euro there and bk in a cab from just outside dassia plus 20 euro for a sunbeds on the beach and we only stayed on the beach ten mins because a lot of mosquitos too.

Barbati beach is fantastic and so is the scenery especially sitting in the backdrop of the mountains but there is only a handful of shops and restaurants. We found it ok for a days visit but coming on holiday it wouldn't be for us and I don't mean that in a bad way

Hilly walk down and up from the beach but well worth it. The beach is very clean. And the water was the clearest ive ever seen. Sunbeds right by the waters edge. Lovely tavernas. Well worth a visit

Gorgeous beach water crystal clear.
One small downside is that it’s pebbly, you need beach shoes to get into the water.
Hired a boat for 2 hours to explore not disappointed.

great beach Warm and clean water. There is water entertainment, a bar serving food and drinks. The sea deepens suddenly, so you need to be careful.

Are there water sports at the beach?

Re Water Sports
Yes !
Jet Ski Hire and motor boat hire tried both - loved both
If you hire a boat and head up the coast watch out for shallow water, we caught the propeller on the rocks below and caused (slight) damage to the prop - any worse and we would have had to pay for a new propeller 300 euros !!!!!
But a great beach and fun too
Hope this helps

Possibile prenotare lettini?

Ciao edy
Hi, just wondering what there is to do I'm an evening in terms of eating and drinking. Not looking for clubs. Just a few bars or taverns.

It really depends what are you actually looking for. In your message I see "Not looking for clubs.", thus I WOULDN'T advice Piedra Del Mar which is more of a fancy club-restaurant with just a few choices of expensive food. The only good part about PDM is that it is truely located on the beach and music is really nice if you are into chillout and electronic.
If you are interested more in local traditional food I would advice the following:
1. Caryatides - right in the center of Barbati with a nice sea-view terrace and great food.
2. Starlight - again a beautiful sea-view terrace with great food
3. Taverna Akrogiali - from time to time they organize Greek nights which could be of interest if you haven't seen before.
4. Kanile - it's a nice bakery & cake shop which sells traditional Greek cookies and cakes.
5. There's another traditional tavern on the road to Piedra Del Mar, somewhere near the limit of Barbati, with sea-view terrace as well, but i couldn't find it on GoogleMaps/StreetView. Great food there as well if you want grilled seafood/fish/chicken ... cannot remember the name.
Enjoy your trip!

Is there any nightlife here
Claire S
Maidenhead, UK68 contributions
No nightclubs, but bars are lively - some trendy cocktail bars along the beach as well as typical greek bars, sports shown on big tv's in bars and restaurants. If you are looking for lots of nightlife and clubs - Barbati is not your place.

I see on the greenbuses website that the last bus back to Barbati from Corfu town is at 20:00 from Monday to Friday and 17:30 on Saturdays. Our plan is to stay in Barbati for a week and spend some evenings in Corfu town for supper. Is there another bus company that operates later times? Are taxis a good choice to get from Barbati to Corfu town and back? If so, what is the cost? Ideally, we do not want to rent a car.

Hi there, are there water taxis from Barbati Beach to other bays please?

You can hire boats from the beach and take yourself! We booked a restaurant along the coast from Barbati and the owner picked us up from Barbati beach in his rib and then delivered us back after the meal. It was a brilliant taxi service - loads of fun, really fast and exciting - especially in the dark on the way home!!

Ci sono docce con acqua dolce?

Si ci sono.... Adiacenti alle strutture che affittano sdraio ed ombrelloni... Ma non ti aspettare molto in quanto su tutta l'isola l'acqua non è mai dolce ma cmq salata...
