I love getting handcrafted items from local artisans when I travel, and pottery is one of my favorites. We were just driving past this shop (which is super cute!!!!) when I yelled at my husband to turn the car around....pottery! We were not disappointed. As soon as I walked in, I knew my hunt for local Scotland souvenirs was over. Lovely ceramic works, both functional and artisanal. But the best part, was meeting the artist, Hugh McTavish. Say hello and ask him about his pieces...it's always awesome to meet the artist who created the work you are taking home. We even got to see his kiln (built it himself!) and learn about how he creates some of his unique glazing effects. Wish we were not flying home as I would have bought some much larger pieces. Thank you Mr. McTavish for your lovely shop and crafts.

Before our long drive home from Western Scotland we popped into this place hoping to find a keepsake of our holiday. And we did! Wonderful pottery and extremely good prices. The works are created on site and the quality is outstanding.

Popped in on a whim and so glad that we did. Bought a couple of gorgeous pots (and could easily have bought much more). Well worth a stop.

Lovely small pottery shop selling pottery made by the owner in the workshop behind. There are other items for sale as well besides pottery but it is mainly pottery. We have bought several bowls and plates and a sugar bowl and milk jug for our new kitchen and shall be returning to build on our collection next time we visit the area next year. It's the only pottery in the Argyll region that's worth visiting. There aren't many others that I could research up. The owner has made the outside of the pottery very quaint so it's a shame that it shares the entrance with other not so nice buildings. I love the acorn shaped ornaments lined up outside. Worth a visit.

Reasonable prices for hand made ceramics which are a lovely keepsake from your holiday, gift for a friend or loved one or for use in your home. Just off the main road and easy to find.
