We took our grandchildren there and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. There is plenty to see and do for all ages. We would have rated it with a 5 but it was greatly let down by the meals that we purchased which were expensive, cold and mainly inedible! Such a pity that it spoilt a lovely day out!

Really enjoyed our day out to Eden Camp, excellent displays on show and it was very informative and educational for everyone in our party. A great day out, and pretty good value!

Walked from Malton to Eden camp. V enjoyable day out, so much to read and take in, topped, off by a great puppet and sing along. Loved using the rifle and beating my son in shoot Off! V cold but what can you expect in February so dress for being cold as other reviewers have mentioned. Defo worth a trip.

I haven't been to Eden Camp for about 25 years and it was now time to take my own children. The place is still as good as it was then with many improvements. My 2 both loved the huts with the u boat, blitz, and the guy on the privy.....which provided hours of entertainment for my 6 yr old son!!!... More

It's hard to sum up this place, they have so much to see. Allow a good 3+ hours if you want to see it all. The detail of the diorama's is fantastic. Well worth the £8.50 adult entrance fee. 👍🏼

Eden Camp, probably easier to get to if you can drive, but we opted for the bus from York, the 840 coast liner only took an hour and stopped outside. The camp is massive, soo much to do and see, though the smell of war and smoke machines are very over powering and gave me a headache. Food Hall was... More

If you are a modern history buff like myself you can't go wrong here. The sights, the smells of world war 2 from the outbreak of war, through the Blitz to VE day all recreated with great realism. Also it shows what family life was like with rationing. A most educational experience

Took my 6 year old son here last week and despite it being cold and a bit of drizzle throughout the day we both really enjoyed ourselves. I was expecting it to be a run down place with a couple of tatty old tanks and jeeps but it was fantastic. When you first enter the place it's a sensory overload... More

While there are not many guides about to answer questions( which is very different to the York based attractions) the huts are clearly marked and written up. For anyone with a deep interest in the period yo could spend a long tiem there but even if you only want to scratch the surface the displays ( with smells included!) are... More

We have never been before and we wasn't disappointed. It was an amazing place and very good value for money. It was quite sobering to think that it had been a POW camp. The attention to detail in the huts and the vast amount of information was incredible and kept us very busy for more than 4 hours! The facilities... More
