We like both the big Lavender places round here, each is very different and worth a visit - Wolds Way offers a little more in terms of quality (i.e. pricier but less to choose from) shopping and food as well as a really interesting lavender oil extraction plant. The walk is truly lovely on a hot day, lots more to... More

Well set out and a lovely walk round the grounds, I was amazed at the different types of lavender , nice clean cafe with fresh coffee and cakes, the best part is it's free entry.

We were staying just outside York and fancied a morning drive and we selected Yorkshire Lavender , we were a little late to see the Lavender in full bloom but there was a collection of photos to view which showed the lavender in full bloom. they have made the gardens into a interesting site with a maze and a deer... We visited at the end of September and our visit was pleasant. It might have been better if the lavender hadn't been harvested. Very helpful staff and a nice walk round the lavender fields. Worth a visit if you like lavender but I wouldn't travel a long way to visit here.

Came for the lavender and retail, expected to stop for 20 mins. Instead spent an hour or more walking through maze and wooded area playing games and watching out for butterflies and dragonflies. A delightful way to spend time on a lovely sunny day. Retail therapy was successful too! Will be even better when the maze is more established, currently... More

Great place FREE entrance which was a great and unexpected starting point. Beautiful walk around the place, Train was out of order but we have legs and we managed. Huge bee hive that you can walk into fascinating for kids and I. On walk around your path winds through various lawn games, a large pond teaming with dragon flys. Beautiful... More

I would recommend a visit to Wolds Way Lavender. It is free entry. You can stroll round the lavender fields, take a ride on the miniature railway, take a casual stroll through the nature walk and finish with a refreshing cream tea with lavender scone. There is also a lavender, herbs and wild flower nursery and shop to purchase lavender... More
