Our guided walks take you to our 'kiwi' bach built in the early 1900s by a farmer attempting to run sheep along the rocky granite coastline of what is today the renowned Abel Tasman National Park. Old but brimming with history, visitors hear the tales of whale strandings and local stories while enjoying a lunch stop in one of the most beautiful bays of the Abel Tasman National Park.

This is the second time doing a tour as it was so good last time I had to bring my husband this time. The guides are so knowledgable and skilled looking after a range of people, we learned so much about the local area, birds and fauna. Food was great too and the lodges well equipped with drying rooms and... More

These guys are fantastic. Every stage smoothly done and everyone going out of their way to provide a wonderful, seamless experience. We are so impressed with the service with each stage. Forgotten t-shirts and sunglasses cases found and returned, restaurants booked, lovely lunches, good trip tips, great communication. Marahau lodge is gorgeous too.I have only good things to say! Highly... More

This is a track that requires you to walk for more than 4hrs as the distance is about 10.6km up/down slope. There is no proper toilet during the track. Have to time your walk as there is only 2 pick up time at Anchorage Beach back to Kaiteriteri. There is a "just cruise" if you are not into walking.

Great accommodations and a wonderful guided walking tour! We stayed two nights at the end of our honeymoon in the Estuary Studio, which was super cozy and spacious, with a gorgeous garden and an incredible of privacy. It was a huge relief from busy hotels and there is access to everything you need--kitchenette, laundry, grill, lovely local walking areas and... More

Ken and Maree are the perfect team: Maree is in contact with the guests in advance, answers very patiently to all the questions you may have and prepares the breakfast-boxes. Ken is the tour guide with a big knowledge about all the Abel Tasman attractions, plants, animals and Maori-stories. We really had two perfect days, with amazing bays, kayaking, hiking... More

It was a pleasure to meet both you and Viviane and to have you stay. We so love showing the Abel Tasman to young people like yourselves who are enthusiastic and appreciate the knowledge and stories that we share. You both seeing the dolphins was a real bonus and enjoyed by Ken also. Thanks for reviewing us which is really... More

Hello David I am so pleased you enjoyed your day out with us - and regardless of having to cross Lesson Creek on a building tide! We hope the rest of your trip went well and were very pleased to know that you and your fellow travellers were away from Kaikoura prior to the quake. I will pass on your... More

After walking the Queen Charlotte a few days earlier we thought that would be hard to beat. But we think it did. A lovely mixture of beaches and cliff walking and expertly organised by Wally and Chris. They could not do enough for us. This was a self guided 4 day/3 night walk with stunning views and outstanding accommodation and... More

We spent 3 nights and 2 days at the Riwaka Retreat Studio accommodation close to Abel Tasman National Park. On the first day we hiked from Apple Tree Bay to Watering Cove in the morning and then kayaked back to Marahau in the afternoon. On the second day we hiked from Anchorage to Tonga Quarry. Throughout the two days Ken... More

Ken certainly has advanced knowledge of the Abel Tasman and all its little "quirks", including some, I hope not too rude stories about Awaroa! He enjoyed his time with you both and I thank you for your kind words and taking the time to review us. regards Maree More

We had a beautiful sunny walk along the Abel Tasman coastal path to our destination of Anchorage, about a four hour walk. With amazing views of sea, beaches and waterfalls and surrounded by a host of beautifully coloured trees. The Anchorage beach was such a lovely place. The views were spectacular and the beach was so peaceful. We spent about... More

Anchorage is certainly a lovely place to visit. Several times I have come down off the ridge to see pods of dolphins in the bay and in very close to shore. Who could want more than that? More

The coast walk from Anchorage hut back to the Abel Tasman centre was a delight. The trip kicked off with a high speed boat trip up the coast in the Centre's water taxi. You climb aboard the taxi in the car park and are towed into the sea by a tractor. All in all a wonderful adventure.

The southern end of the Abel Tasman National Park coastal track has some of the best views in the park overlooking golden beaches and the two islands. It is quite different from the middle of the Park which tends to wind away from the coast and has several rather steep hills. Enjoy the easy terrain and the best views! More
