A nice quiet place to go to for a day. Various places to eat. Great fresh fish at most of the restaurants on both sides of the lake.

This area is full of historical background. The geology of mountains are very astonishing. There ara caves from the 8000 years back BC. Thère are pictures and writings caved by the Hittites . It is also a wetland for many birds.

An absolutely beautiful area in the Milas area of Turkey. Easily accessible from the Didim/Akbuk areas. Fantastic for nature lovers, history/archaeology buffs or for just enjoying the amazing views at every turn.

The wonderful lake keep diminishing since last two decades. One of the biggest lakes in western Anatolia. Small local breakfast restaurants on the shore. Very unique off the beaten path weekend short trip experience. Wild olive trees to be seen.

Great place to sit back & relax with local food and ancient ruins just a short walk away. Simple but delicious meals served on the terraces of local cafés & lots of sites to explore.

We stopped here on our way to Ephesus - it's stunning. The views are truly incredible. We went to Canli Balik restaurant and enjoyed Turkish pancakes whilst looking across the lake- an experience not to be missed!
