Hard to find the path
Sep 2019 • Couples
It is very hard to find the access path as it is not at all well signposted.
You can hear the waterfall from a couple of Km away, but most paths or the local road lead in the general direction. Anyone disable should get driven up by the road.
Restaurant nearby not very inspiring and had hardly any ice creams to sell on a hot sunny septembre day

Very nice waterfall but not signed walking route
Sep 2019 • Friends
We couldn't find the right walking route there. The waterfall there is very beautiful but the restuarant next to it was close and no one around could find the walking route. Just stop to view.

Splashing Waterfall
Jul 2018 • Family
It is a lovely waterfall and looks more amazing as the falling water spreads out to larger area due to strong winds. This place is about 10km away from Samoens and derves a visit if you are in the area or if you are planning to visit Fer a Cheval. Road to this location is good except the last one kilometer where it is pretty narrow so watch out for the oncoming traffic. Right at the waterfall location you will find the parking area next to the road. Like 1-2 hours woulb be enough to visit this place and maybe more if you plan to explore the surroundings.

Evening drive
Oct 2018 • Family
We only realised this was here by driving around the area, took a road up a mountain and came across cascade du rouget, amazing place to chill out for a while get up close to a French Alp waterfall, this was a beautiful place to paddle in the shallows even if it was a bit chilly.......er sorry frezzing!!

The cafe is a nice place for a drink and a sneaky desert.

Nice but not spectacular
Sep 2018 • Couples
If you are in the neighborhood then it's definitely worth the visit. It's a nice waterfall, but nothing spectacular. It has some picnic tables and a little further up the road is a restaurant.

Spectacular
Jun 2018
Well worth the short drive up the valley an impressive water fall at the side of the road. you may want to take a water proof as there is quite a lot of spray if it is in full flow. A walk up the path at the side of the fall is fun for the more adventurous although its steep and a bit slippery. Photographs do not do this justice and its hard to judge how big it is until you get up close.

Carry on up the road for an amazing hike with spectacular waterfalls
Aug 2018
We woke up early and Went up past the waterfall to the end of the road . We parked the car in Le Lignon and did an uphill trek to refuge de Sales which took a bit over two hours. The walk goes past spectacular waterfalls and it is possible to eat at the refuge . We had taken food with us . After the steep down it was great to stop at the restaurant alongside the falls for a well earned dessert . The restaurant has a magnificent view of the falls . Our three boys hardly looked at the falls after the amazing scenery of the hike .

Nature at its best!
Aug 2018 • Couples
Worth looking out for, especially as you can get right up close to it and appreciate it’s immense power; the water falls so strongly it’s quite something.
It’s not somewhere you’d necessarily spend more than a few minutes admiring, but worth seeing.

Next to the parking
Apr 2018
The Cascade is next to the parking and it is a good one! Don't expect a hike up there and quite some tourists. But it is worth a visit.

A great place to visit and easy to find. In fact my daughter was so inspired by these waterfalls that is helped her decide which course to take at University! A long story :-).

Don't miss this natural attraction.
