Wonderful hidden gem, great for the family!
Sep 2021
A wonderful museum displaying vehicles from the past including buses, cars, trucks, and an ice cream truck! It's a great day out for the family, rain or shine.

A bit of nostalgia.
Sep 2021 • Couples
Support your local unique museums. At only £4 per person admission it brings back memories of bygone vehicles. All maintained by volunteers.Mainly buses with a few commercial vehicles and a couple of bikes plus advertising of the time.Remember swinging on the bus rails on the way to school?

A gem in Aldridge
Aug 2021 • Friends
What a little gem of a museum, covers road transport with a bias to the local area, buses, lorries and lighter vehicles are covered. I regularly visit here, entry is cheap and the volunteers are knowledgeable, helpful and ready to chat. Due to covid access is limited to the vehicles at this time.
I’d advise a visit on a running day, and you get a few rides on the old buses and they have visiting vehicles. Have a look on their Facebook or website for the dates (depending on the current covid guidelines)

What a trip!!
Mar 2020 • Family
We went to the open day on the 7/3/20,we had a 40min free ride in an old bus. Really took us back to our childhood, the kids loved it 😊. The museum is a credit to the people that run it. Amazing fun, and such lovely volunteers thankyou so much.
I would recommend to anyone.

Thank you for your review; we're so pleased that you enjoyed your day at our event. I have to say that we enjoyed it too! We hope that you come again before long; we try and have a variety of buses available on Running Days, so you never quite know what might be there.

We're pleased that you found the vehicles interesting; our original building in Witton made it much easier to display the buses, in particular, as there was not the constraint on height and access that we have at Aldridge. Because of that, we've had to give more prominence to the light commercials, but they do offer a bit of variety. Thank you for your comments and we hope that you'll come again.

An interesting little museum
Jul 2019 • Solo
An interesting little museum, rather tricky to find, on a small industrial estate. It is small and somewhat of a "work in progress" and probably not worth travelling a long distance to unless you are a true transport enthusiast, but "event" days may broaden it's appeal. Opening times are rather limited due to it being run by volunteers, but hopefully the museum can develop and expand.
The collections are housed in fairly small premises and some squashed in somewhat, but what is nice is that you can enter some of the vehicles, sit in the cabs, etc, giving you a true and nostalgic feel about the transport of one's younger days! There are many interesting and quirky artefacts relating to the bus industry of the past.
The only disappointment for me was that a couple of the buses I would like to have seen were not there, I think recalled by their owners, so outside of the control of the museum.

Thank you for the review and we're pleased you enjoyed your visit. The smallish display area and restrictions on access to parts of the building with high or long vehicles does limit what we can display at any one time, and, as you say, many of the vehicles are privately owned and can be moved out, although that is unusual. We do ourselves swap vehicles between the main museum building and our storage site, for operational reasons or where repair work is needed, but, while that gives more of a chance of seeing something different during a visit, it can also mean that 'your' special vehicle is not on site. Give us a ring first and we'll try and tell you what is or isn't on display. Do come again!

First visit

Found this place very interesting although its only small. Popped in with our disabled son just enough to keep him interested for a short time. Hidden away on an industrial estate, you need to know where it is located. Probably better on one of their event days when there are free rides to different places.

Not Worth A Visit
Mar 2019
The museum has very limited opening times and quite frankly is not worth a visit. There are a few old buses and trucks and err, that's it.

Sorry you didn't find the visit worthwhile. As the museum relies totally on volunteer staff, there's not much we can do about opening only three days.a week, but we'd love to know what we can do to make a visit more worthwhile. Do let us know.
