This is one of the Sacred Tanks for Hindus where a Festival is held once in Twelve Years named Mahamaham. A dip here is supposed to wash all sins. Unfortunately at present the tank is dry and sad to watch. Hope water flows soon.

As told this is a famous water tank. But the places surrounding it is very dirty. It is situated in the heart of the city, so can be visited easily. Govt should come forward to protect such wonderful places.
