"Oppiliappan" (incomparable) is the original name of this temple, not "uppiliappan" (one denied of salt). Marvelous and well kept temple. Wonderful architecture as well.

God Vishnu blesses the people at this place in the name of Oppiliappan. The temple is colourful after the recent renovation and repair. The night view of the temple is presented here.

One of the most popular temple in kumbakonam in India . It's like thirupathi temple and is often crowded. The most famous prasadam in the temple is tamarind rice without salt but we can feel salt taste inside the temple. Miraculous.
