This island has changed dramatically in 20 years, but it still offers a very enjoyable day trip or one night option from Bangkok. You can reach the island from Si Racha pier, the town has regular bus link to the airport as well as the...More

Koh Si Chang is a forty minute ferry ride from Sri Racha Pier. The departure pier has changed due to construction on larger pier, expected to last two years. The island is a quiet getaway and Tampang Beach has sparkling clean water, and two restaurants...More

Spent 2 nights here and one would have been enough. We covered the whole island on a moped in about 2 hours and that included stopping at temples and going up the longish roads on google maps to the very north or the island. The...More

Not a bad place, the food was OK too but what really ruined the island was the sheer amount of oil ships. On one side it looks disgustingly industrial whereas the other (by Jampang Beach) was nice. I opted not to swim because of this....More

I visited two times this island....this islands can be pretty good. a two-hour boat ride from the city, making it one of the Bangkok's closest beach destinations. It is popular with Bangkok residents who head here for weekend breaks, and even day trips.

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the Thai capital for a couple of days, but don't want to travel too far, Koh Sichang is a good choice. Close to Bangkok, not many foreigners (most tourists are Thai) and nice to spend...More

Sorry to be pedantic, but the first thing to do is correct the title of this entry. "Ko" or "Koh" in Thai means "island", so saying Ko Si Chang Island is a tautology. Unlike many other islands in the Gulf of Thailand, Ko Si Chang...More

I would only recommend a day trip for this island. There really isn't much to do, so you can cover the whole island in a day and head back. The beaches are less crowded and nicer than Pattaya or Bang Saen, and there are no...More
