We had a chance to visit this national park both late in the afternoon and in the morning. In the morning we had a guide with us and he guided us on a walking safari. To my understanding this is a fairly small national park, but we managed to see a lot of antilopes, bush backs, impalas, apes, giraffes, and... More

We were in Lake Mburo for 3 nights staying at the Mihingo Lodge and used 1000 Shades of Green for our safari guide (was excellent). Due to the war a few decades ago, the predator population is almost non-existent. While you won't likely see any lions (rumor is there is 1), leopards (a few) what this provides is grazing animals... lake mburo, a smaller park , 4,5 hours from kampala, i strongly recommend to do a boat safari on the lake, this was very nice, i got awesome photo shots. same for the night game drive, to search for leopard, and we found a leopard cat with a juvenile....so exciting.....during daytime, we spotted also 7 giraffes....and many very cute zebras.

We were very lucky here & saw lots on an evening drive: giraffe courtship/fighting, a leopard, bush-babies plus standard zebra/baboob/wart-hog etc. Very good morning walk too & lots of photogenic locations (watering holes). Different & nice

We spent a couple of days in the park, which we seemed to have pretty much to ourselves. Lots of zebra, buffalo, warthog and antelope with good birding. Unfortunately we didn't come across the giraffes or leopard. The only disappointment was that we couldn't take our pre-booked boat trip as its engine was broken.

We did a morning walk which was really enjoyable - much better than the drives Quiet, cool, you can get much closer to the animals and the rangers have more opportunities to explain peculiarities about the animals.

It isn't Queen Elisabeth, but this is a great park for seeing Zebra and small game. They have even added Giraffes to this park although we missed them on the day we were there. Didn't do the boat ride although it was much smaller than the one at Queen Elizabeth. I enjoyed the smallness of the park and the fact... More

We saw loads of Zebras just before and after we entered the Park. They are such graceful creatures. Guides available and you see more then. Did not see Giraffes or Leopards on this occasion as we were short of time, we did see a variety of other animals though, and would like to return.

The three main attractions in Lake MBuro NP are: - the boat tour on the lake, this will offer you a chance to get really close to Hippos, Crocs, Birds... - the night game drive, which will give you opportunity to see animals you will never see in day time (genets, bush babies, some mongoose species...) and will highly increase...
