This park is an awesome place to camp or just for a day visit. Lots of ducks and geese fly over the park during their migration.

The park warden was on a power trip. Authority had gone to her head. There are new wardens there this year, and they should be let go. For twenty years we have been coming here with no problems at all, generally a pleasant place to stay. After this experience I will not be returning. She came on the site while... More

Its hard to sum up Rock point in a simple blurb. Ive been coming to this provincial park for a very long time. its close enough to get to easily and far enough that it is a genuine escape. the sites are nice and full, private and comfortable. the rest stations are well maintained and clean. the beaches are great!... This seems to be a well run Provincial Park with a surprising number of campsites. Apparently some of the beach crowd has been unruly and that has coloured people's perceptions of the park. I didn't camp, but I found the beach walk very pretty. The exposed shale on the beach has some lovely squiggly plant fossils - nothing super rare... More

Took a day trip to the other side of Lake Erie. Did my research and some map looking & ended up here. Found the beach suitable for us. Water was fantastic and sandy once over knee deep. Wish we would have brought a picnic, nice shady tables by the water. Toured the camping area and whole family agrees we'll be... More

Enjoyed the scenery and water. Could have been more picnic tables and more situated under trees. All dogs must be on a leash even if they are well behaved.

Established in 1957, Rock Point Provincial Park (Rock Point) is a recreational-class park spanning 187 hectares on the north shore of Lake Erie near Dunnville. The park was once the site of a paleo-Indian camp. Habitats within the park include wetlands, forests, and dunes. Note that limestone shelves along the park's shore contain the fossilised remains of marine life from... More

This was a nice, clean camp ground. It was mostly quiet. There is a really nice beach that is pretty much walkable from any campsite. The staff was helpful and friendly. The only reason I gave it a four instead of a five star rating was because it has A LOT of spiders. They're everywhere. I'm not sure what the... More

We stayed at Rock Point with our 3 boys. Overall we like the large spacious sites and our boys really enjoy the playground area. They meet lots of new kids each day there and literally could spend hours playing there. The beach is a bit of a walk depending on where you stay, but it is nice enough. Recommend water... More
