Iceland is such a naturally beautiful country and Gullfoss is just a testament to this. Its powerful falls and beautiful scenery is a MUST see in Iceland. However because of this fact, often it can get pretty crowded so be aware of this! Overall gorgeous and breathtaking.

What can I say it's the most amazingly beautiful waterfall I've ever seen. It's huge! Quite a trek to get to it, but worth the hike. A lot of stairs too.

Our tour bus pulled up at this during our Golden Circle excursion and as it came into focus it took my breathe away. Absolutely stunning. I have been to Niagra falls and I honestly believe this is far lovelier. Niagra is one big mass of water falling at once ( in fact, half the water is redirected during the summer... More

The drive is long but the waterfall is well worth it. It is huge and has a couple different viewing spots. There is a gift shop and restrooms there if you need o warm up while you are there.

Good view although there are other equally beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. In winter time it's very windy and you cannot walk on the lower platform till the very end.

Saw this as part of a tour. This is truely a beautiful site. Go and see this if you are in Southern Iceland! I've seen Niagara falls, and I'd say it's on par! Visiting here, we went in winter, you need crampons as the stairs and slopes are icy. You can see it from two perspectives, one is downstairs and... More

In winter even more impressive. Ok in winter you can not go just close to the fall, some of the acces walking routes ar closed. But so the icewall of frozen water, the fall in the with landscape, magical. You can park on the parking lot down of up the hill. No difference, you have to walk around to see... More

It was super windy and rainy when we arrived but this reduced to just wind after a little while. We parked at the top near the cafe and walked down to the view point. It's an incredible spot and an amazing sight to see. Doesn't cost anything to enter and easily accessible from the road.

This is still an amazing location at different times of the year. Amazing views, stunning waterfalls. The pathway can be slippy so make sure you wear some good boots and grips. Gets very busy

We went to Gullfoss as part of the Golden Circle Tour with Reykjavik Excursions. The Gullfoss waterfalls were wow!! We went down close up first, and then took a few minutes at the end to go up to the upper viewing platform. I’m glad we did it that way around, and I was still almost late back for the coach!...
