We traveled there to find some good fresh berries. Easy to find and lots to look at. Even have stuff for kids to do. Found the prices on produce higher than those of the stores - a little disappointing.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for your review! You're right we are a little more expensive than your typical grocery store, but you are getting the Freshest Possible - straight from the source produce. The grocery stores can afford to sell at a lost litre because of all the other items you buy while in there. I hope you'll continue to support... More

We have been visiting Brooks since my son was a toddler. At 12, he still enjoys it. The people who run the farm seem to genuinely enjoy what they do and that lends a great atmosphere to the place. We go every year for a pumpkin and every year they seem to have added a new, fun thing. The first... More

We have enjoyed visiting Brooks Farms many times over the last 3 years. It is really great to go with young children. A lot of comments mention pricing. I do agree the price is slightly steep for young families, but if you can swing a weekday its ideal. I find if I pay a higher admission for entry I rarely... More

Family day with the Grandkids and daughters, I know when your a business your trying to make money BUT I personally found 14.00 pp to be very expensive for kids to run around . in my opinion the Peterborough Zoo is FREE and they have a beautiful playground the kids can play at for hours, even the tractor (train) ride... Thanks for your review. Some of our customers come and stay the entire day - we have a hard time getting them to leave! =) So I'm sorry you only stayed for 49 minutes. It's true, we aren't free like the Peterborough Zoo (which we've enjoyed ourselves) which is funded by tax payer dollars, we don't have that luxury. What... More

This is a nice farm with lots of activities for kids. We took our 11 month old and he enjoyed it. Wagon rides to the pumpkin patch were fun. The admission was $14/adult which I found to be quite expensive. They also charged an extra $1 because we paid debit. They also had duck races and corn blasters, which weren't... More

Today my family and I visited Brooks Farm in Mount Albert, and for some it was fun, and others a big disappointment. Let's just get some things straight, this is not a place for teenagers, or as a matter of fact anyone above the age of eight. Trust me taking my 14 and 12 year olds was a nightmare, however... More

Hello Fetah, Thank you for your review. You are a hundred percent right - our farm is not designed for 14 year olds. We specifically target young children with all of our activities offered on the farm, which is why I'm sure your 5 year old did have a blast. Our website represents that well with all of our photographs... More

We booked the l'll farmer workshop. First started with a train ride around property. For kids it was a little long and boring just looking at the plants and vegetables. Then they took us around to see the animals which the kids enjoyed. Afterwards we did a craft then had a snack and cookie. I would have thought that there... More

Hi Debbie, Sorry to hear you felt the train ride was boring - that's definitely something we can work on. Most kids absolutely love the ride. It is there to show the young kids the size of the farm and to educate about our crops and the work involved with farming. This is the first summer we've run the workshops... More

This is a low key activity, which offers lots of room for the kids to run and play. We went in August, and got there right at 9:00. We picked a week day because weekends are very busy. They have many fun things to amuse the kids: zip lines, animals to feed, hay bales to jump from, and a real... More

Glad you had a great day!! You're right - parent supervision is a must!! We have 10 acres of play on a 100 acre farm, and as a mom myself... a close eye must be kept on the kids! Thanks for your review! We really do appreciate your support. Kelly Brooks Owner More

It's more park than farm. It's a Farmark!!!!! Lots for the kids to do, with a farmy twist. We try to go once a year, sometimes a little more.

The family has made it a bit of a Spring tradition to visit somewhere to watch the flowing of Spring sap and see how Maple Syrup is made, though we've visited many places Brooks Farms has year after year improved their tour, facilities and doesn't disappoint. For the price you get a ride out to their Sugar Shack and grove... More

Thank you so much! Farms can't survive without support from our community and customers. Its customers like you who encourage us to continue with this life. Farming is tough (to say the least)... and sometimes a negative review really gets us down. So thanks for picking us up! Kelly Brooks Owner More
