If you are visiting Copenhagen make sure you visit Frederiksberg Slot. It explains the history in and amongst beautiful surroundings Certainly one of the best attractions..

We almost missed out on one of our favorite places to visit near Copenhagen! Frederiksberg is a beautiful castle with even more wonderful gardens to explore. It was pouring rain the day we visited, but that didn't make the experience any less exciting or wonderful....More

Lots of different sections in this part! The tower which is free to go up is definitely worth doing. You then have the ruins, the stables, the royal reception rooms and the kitchen. All free with a Copenhagen card.

Located between Noerrebro and Vesterbro you’ll find
Frederiksberg, which is actually a municipality in
itself but completely surrounded by Copenhagen. Here
there are several fine theaters, from the experimental
to the great Det Ny Teater (The New Theater) which
specializes in transcribing the great London and New
York musicals into Danish, and has done so for several
years with huge success. In Frederiksberg you’ll find

It is actually a military facility now - so one can only see the church (if I remenber correctly). The park is nice tough. You can go to Rosenborg Slot instead - this is were the crown jewels are kep.
