We went to Roy's for a couple of nights, and the experiences were quite different. It's a place with a lively atmosphere and live music.
The band that played the first night performed Indonesian music and rock classics. It was great - good atmosphere, good music, and good drinks. The prices were very reasonable, and we loved it.
We returned the next night (Saturday), and there were many more people. The band started playing, but at one point, a drunken person started harassing the staff at the bar, throwing things on the floor. I'm used to the fact that when these things happen, someone more or less politely removes the troublemaker, and the night continues. But it didn't happen here. The musicians stopped playing, the drunk person kept shouting, and people started leaving. When the drunk person decided he had enough and left, there were hardly any people left, and the band didn't play anymore.
In any case, if you want to have a drink and listen to live music, it seems like a suitable place.

Actually my home is not to Far from this Pub, But honestly Last year was my first time to visit this Bar after Im back from Abroad . What an Amazing Experince while sit and Drink during their local live music performance .
They Playing many kind of music and genre .
The Bartender, he is more than just Bartender ,wait til you see Him on the stage with His Amazing Voice, I didn`t Expected that.
Drinks Price are reasonable.

I recommend this bar to anyone coming to Samosir. The music is great especially while the lead guitar player is here. Remember Saturday 9pm to ???. They player excellent 70-90's covers, Queen, AC/DC.... I come as an American Expat about every two months.

I love this pub for the Batak rock'n roll and fine selection of western oldies. Prices are fair and the outside area is unique. All in all a great place to hang out
