A great fuel stop following a good wander. Al had the full breakfast and declared it excellent! I joined my parents in a sausage barm, which was fabulous!

This was a very peaceful day which was dog friendly and lovely walks, there was plenty of space for picnics and a great play area for children, had a café area, but didn't use because I took a picnic, plenty of free parking

What a lovely place to walk or sit and admire the muddy river Wyre, its estuary and saltmarshes. Plenty of strategically placed wooden seats and plenty of free parking, too. We thought that the on site café let the experience down - a bit shabby...More

Good for a little walk on a Sunday. Cafe on site if you get peckish. Good for kids as there's a park and good for dog walkers.

Amazing place, great for children of all ages. You can go for a walk around the river, or have a treat in the cafe, when you have had enough playing....

This is well maintained and good for a gentle stroll. Several paths to follow. Seats available if required. The cafe does snacks and drinks.

I don't think there's a bus from Blackpool, though you could get bus 4, or 3 to cleveleys bus station then the bus from there into Thornton village, but not directly to estuary, I think it's the 74/75
