Rocky Point Kayak is located at the foot of the boat launch at Rocky Point...

Rocky Point Kayak is located at the foot of the boat launch at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody. Our sheltered location offers easy access to the Burrard Inlet and the Indian Arm. The calm waters at Rocky Point have an abundance of bird and wildlife just a short paddle from shore. Stunning scenery and secluded beaches provide a quick wilderness escape despite being only 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver. We offer hourly, daily, or weekly rentals, of kayaks, canoes and stand up paddleboards. In addition, we offer Paddle Canada certified lesson programs and tours, and many weekly drop-in social paddles. We have the staff and equipment to host large group or corporate outing and specialize in school paddle trips and lessons. We operate seasonally from April 1 to the end of Thanksgiving. We have a large rental fleet with a diverse range of boats for novice, intermediate and advanced paddlers. Our rental fleet consists of single, double, family-friendly double kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards.

A single kayak 2 hour rental is $32 + tax. Pleasant service in the kiosk and at the wharf. It's not that pretty in Port Moody inlet though - quite industrial which surprised me. We still did see seal mamas with pups, cormorants, jelly fish, and a dozen blue herons all converged on the same fishing hole! Equipment and kayaks... More

We were happy to be able to rent two single kayaks with little notice (Thursday). You can rent single, double kayaks, paddle boards and canoes from Rocky Point Kayak. When we showed up just before noon they were clearly busy with many customers! Paperwork went quick and easy, we were escorted to our kayaks and after a brief equipment run... More

If you like being on the water in a Kayak or on a paddle board this is a great place to go. Good prices, helpful staff, safe procedures and instructions. Most times you can find seals on the log booms, lots of water birds and interesting views. After the paddle you can have fish & chips and an ice-cream in... More

I think I've Kayaked three times in my life and I've definitely forgotten more than I ever knew. Canada though is THE place for Kayaks and I was determined to get out there and give it ago, even at 59 as I was at the time! Our instructor was a star and clearly a VERY seasoned professional. His style was... More

My sons took me to Rocky Point Kayak for Mother's Day. This was an awesome experience. We were given guidance on shore how to paddle and manoeuver our kayak. We had 2 guides out on the water. We saw seals, birds and the sites of the burrard inlet. Afterwards, we got free ice cream!

This is an easy way to spend a couple of hours to explore the Port Moody shoreline and bird sanctuary! Wanna see eagles or osprey in action! Good for any skill level of paddling!

Nothing can be as tranquil and exciting all in the same moment, as quietly paddling in the kayak to have a wonderful sea experience with a frolicking sea lion in the distance. Beautiful scenery with tankers just a few hundred yards away, make it all an adventure.

I'll be honest, originally my children did not want to sign up for the camp, but I talked them into it...am I ever glad I stood my ground! The kids came home exhausted everyday - tired from drinking in the wildlife in the inlet, playing games, getting exercise and learning new skills to paddleboard. A HUGE thank you to Elaine... More

Great location. And it doesn't take long to paddle over to the log boons where the seals hang out! The guy who set us up was super helpful and it's such a fun activity
