Nicely renovated, a great place to visit

This is an absolute must see when in and around Fagaras. The place is renovated with nice clean interior. The throne room and the museum are great !

It was a nice to visit spot. Can be done much more in my opinion by the managers. Maybe to try to get some authentic furniture to decorate rooms or to make more interactive the approach of the visitors but to the end was a well spent time visiting. There are some rooms furnished and open spaces to see some... More

The Fagaras Fortress is definetely a place to visit, even if it that means a small decoy from the original itinerary. There are not too many things to see in the town, but the Fortress is surely a place where you'll get amazed by its beauty and size. There are many nice rooms inside, decorated like in the Medieval times,... More

The fortress in Fagaras was recently refurbished, I recommend you visit it and explore a part of Romanian history and legacy.

Is recently refurbished and it looks very good. The throne chamber, lady bedroom, and conference room are looking very good. is also a museum inside with different objects from various times very good preserved. Also the blacksmith around the walls is very genuine. you have to spend 3-4 hours for a fully visiting of the place.

Even if I've visited this site a while ago, it was worth visiting it again. The place is recently renovated, with many interesting objects on display - some of them being donated by locals. There is a small entrance fee (around 4 EUR/adult), yet it's worth it!

I used to visit this Fortress years & years ago as a child when it was free to walk in but it just used to have a restaurant and everything was shut off except for the walls that you could walk around. Today though you have to pay 15 lei to enter (around £3) or 7 lei as consession (£1.40)... More

This fortress stands proud in the town, close to a newly built church. It has been renovated, cintains lots of artifacts. Would have preferred more information in English language
