How do I explain about this beach? I am in love with this beach and will always be my favourite. It's quiet, calm, raw, clean, not crowded and perfect for relaxation. It has so much to offer for snorkellers. You can get free fish foot massage. Good place for surfers too. As we walk by the beach, you tend to explore more. To sum up, it is a must place to visit and is a pure gem. I really enjoyed time here and felt extreme relaxed.…

It’s a great beach, you can surf and swim. Most surf beaches in the area are a challenge to swim in. But this place has both and is fairly private.

I went here because of no crowds and easy waves to learn to surf with no one around. The whole shore is very shallow and rocky/reaf like, not good for swimming or walking on the bottom without foot protection. Cheap sun chairs with umbrellas are offered as well as surfboard rentals. The stairs down to here are long and steep. …

Thomas beach (original Padang Padang) is a small crescent beach in the Uluwatu Pecatu area. The sand is yellow and a little gritty, the waves are fairly strong. It more for surfing than swimming, but people do swim once past the breaking waves and shore undertow. I found the sand to be too porous and shifting to wade in the shallows comfortably, so I watched the surfers further out from my 50k shaded loungers. The place I rented from was maybe 3/4 down the shore, and super nice family. I also bought a ginormous coconut, who knew they held so much water? Spent over four hours here without noticing the time. Actually fell asleep, so must've been good! There are areas where young people do their socializing instagram thing, but further along the beach it's quieter for couples, solitude seekers, and families. …
