Sardarapat Memorial is a memorial complex to the Battle of Sardarapat located in the village of Araks, in the Armavir Province of Armenia, 11 kilometers southwest of Armavir town. In 1968 during the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Sardarapat that took place on May 22–26, 1918 a memorial park was built.

Only about 40 minutes from Yerevan, and a fantastic look into history. You MUST go to the museum and you MUST get a tour. Takes about an hour and a half. I've lived here over 2 years and I learned a lot. And the museum...More

I would recommend visiting the museum and request a tourist guide to explain the story behind this attraction. It's one of the most important symbols in the country.
