Given the grand legend of the birth of Aphrodite that is attached to this rock, one would expect one of the wonders of the world. Instead, you'll find just a large boulder along the coast, and that's without mentioning the coastal road running just behind it. If historic / mythological interest is your thing, by all means, do visit. For... More

We have visited this location many times. The mythology surrounding the place is important, of course, but it is a great walk along the stony beach on its own. The water was getting cold at the time of my last visit, but many visitors love to swim around the rock from March to November. The cafe/shop has been refurbished and... More

We called in as we were driving by so common sense determined that we stopped to see. From the shop across the road there is a walkway to the very stoney beach. Maybe on a sunny day it looks better, but wet and windy thumbs down.

The rock and surrounding beach area form a nice little cove, offering great views. But beware that this spot is very popular with both tourists and locals, so it is often crowded. Also know that the beach is rocky, not sandy, so it is not comfortable to lay out/sit down. Otherwise, though, the water was very calm and the area... More

Worth stopping off for an hour or so if you are close by. Water is clean, sea blue, lots of pebbles so wear water shoes. Shop and simple cafe.

A friend and I swam the three laps around the rocks late one afternoon, the water is stunningly clear, and the pebbled ocean floor is equally beautiful. The swim is relatively easy through it is quiet deep and i would recommend only confident swimmers do the laps. to the left of the rocks is a small sea cave which we... More

We visited this famous beauty spot on a bright sunny November day when there were very few people around, so we almost had the beach to ourselves, but I have seen it very crowded in the warmer months. Never -the -less it is really beautiful. The views over the sea from the cliffs above are breathtaking especially when the sun... More

Aphrodite’s Rock On our way back from Paphos to Limassol we still had some sunlight and decided to visit. The place is very pretty with a lovely beach but what made the visit special were the 2 wedding parties that were using the area for their wedding pictures. The glow from the couples and their families added a special aura... More
