Sorry fo rthe delay. I have recently been asked to reply to reviews. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. We have been very busy this year trying to avoid un-necessary contact due to COVID but the Garden continues to flourish. Best wishes Tony

Make time to pop in
Oct 2019
My wife and I visited Oct 1st on our way back to the car having visited Flatford Mill etc. We intended just a quick look see but then got chatting to Rick who was on volunteer duty. What a great conversation we had. He showed us Greater and Lesser Diving Beetles in the pond and his enthusiasm for the garden and birds really came through. I am a RSPB member already and he gave great advice around volunteering locally to where we live. The garden itself had great ideas for planting for wildlife

I'm so glad you enjoyed yourselves. It is quite amazing that the pond is full of wildlife and only a year old. Tony

Morning visit
Oct 2019
If you visit Flatford make sure you call in at the Wildlife Garden/Reserve down from the visitors car park as we as members (bit bias) found it informative and an excellent place especially for children and younger folk to wander and learn about our wildlife. It's one of those spots where a quart has been pored into a pint pot and thanks to you RSPB.

Climate Strike Event
Sep 2019 • Family
Went here with my daughter for their Climate Strike event and had a fabulous time. Lots of things for my daughter to do and learn about, and the volunteers were very engaging and interesting. Even without the extra activities, there was plenty to see with the pond, flowers, sculptures and varied wildlife areas. Also, there’s skulls to look at and information around life cycles and food pyramids. So many great things about this place, but the staff and volunteers really stood out.

Fab garden, well worth a visit
Aug 2019 • Family
Visited here with my children. Lovely garden to explore with wooden sculptures and children's trails. We saw different species of dragonflies laying eggs in the pond! We would visit again. 😁😁

Sweet wildlife garden
Aug 2019 • Family
Despite the small size the impact of the garden is clear to see. Driven by volunteer enthusiasts, the garden inspires and informs as well as being a pleasant place to just wander. A good addition to the attraction of Flatford Mill, but not worth a visit simply for the purpose of the wildlife garden.

Pretty and small wildlife garden
Aug 2019 • Couples
The garden is next to Bridge Cottage and Flatford Mill in the National Trust hamlet of Flatford. It is smaller than I expected and I wouldn’t make a special trip to see it. Nevertheless it’s pretty and contains lots of ideas for a wildlife-friendly garden and there are several volunteers on hand which is commendable.

Quaint Garden near Flatford Mill
Aug 2019 • Couples
While visiting Flatford to see the views captured in the famous John Constable paintings, we stopped in this lovely small garden staffed by enthusiastic knowledgeable volunteers which has great examples of how you can make your own garden more bird friendly.
