Stopped here prior to our Tigre Delta tour. Built on the site of a 1706 chapel opened by the city's founder, Captain Domingo de Acassuso, the cathedral was designed by French architects Dunant and Paquin, and inaugurated on July 14, 1898. It is constructed in neogothic style and it stands 68 m tall. Although bathed in brilliant sunshine externally, the... More

Attended Easter Sunday mass in a solemn ceremony. This is a beautiful church that is an imposing landmark for the quaint, quiet but interesting suburb of Buenos Aires, San Isidro.

We booked a tour on the Sturla Boat Ride of the Tigre Delta. We were picked up at our hotel with a tourist bus, comfortable. Before reaching the pier we stopped at Cathedral de San Isidro Labrador. It’s a very large cathedral and very simple. If you’re on your way to Tigre I think it’s worth a stop. There is... More

It is a pretty gothic cathedral but 20 min are more than enough to look around San Isidro and its surroundings. Personally I have found nothing special there even though it is considered to be an upscale place. Roads are uneven and hard to walk on and church is the only sightseeing there. Tigre is way prettier! This cathedral was... More

This catholic church is the traditional of the region, his architecture is gothic and is located in front of a plaza where, during week ends you can found a lot of nice artesanal goods

In front you will also find an artisan exhibit with arts and crafts to buy- great souvenirs. Inside the cathedral you can get if you like religious gifts, my mom got a beautiful... More

Ok, so I am pretty biased in this one as I have strong childhood memories here however if you are in the area you don't want to miss going into the Cathedral. Sunday mornings there's a local market in the square that is next to it. It is also walking distance from the train station. I love the feel of... More
