We did the trail from Chute Lake to Penticton a couple years ago and decided to do it again this year. It starts off great at Chute Lake , after a couple kilometres though you hit areas that looked to have been washed out this...More

We parked at the parking lot on Smethurst Rd. and proceeded to walk from there to the tunnel. The old rail bed has been turned into a great trail for walkers and mountain bikes. The day we went, there was a bike race from Kelowna...More

Easy access to the KVR trailhead in OK Falls through Lions Park. The trail starts with the Train Bridge which is a favorite spot for jumping into Skaha Lake with ladder access to climb back up. The trail then follows the shoreline along the west...More

Love to go up to the KVR early and enjoy nature. I always see animals, jackrabbit, deer, marmot, gopher, pika and a variety of birds. Plus a big treat in June is all the wildflowers. Go before 9am for the best viewing.

A very leisurely lakeside trail connecting Okanagan Falls to Penticton. The trail is totally flat and follows along the west shores of Skaha Lake. Trail is gravel but good for all ages.

At a gradual 2% climb, anyone can rid or walk this trail. Beautiful views around every corner and an added bonus of gliding down when you head back. Of course if you decide to go down first the trip back is an easy journey.

We have been to Penticton many times and I am not sure why we have never been on the KVR before! We went for a little walk with the kids and had a great time. They loved exploring and seeing the clay cliffs. We will...More

When traveling, it is often difficult to find a great place to walk dogs that is both scenic and safe. This trail is both. It isn't easy to find the access points as the signage is lacking. We had to ask someone local to find...More

We were a group of 8 using cabins along the way and a group of 2 camping. We loved the biking and amazing views along the way. Kudos to all who volunteer their time and energy. The enthusiasm to bike this route will only grow....More

This was a great tour. The volunteers work very hard to provide a family friendly experience. It would have been perfect had the banjo player played Crazy Train.
