Overview

Established in 1995, Stag's Hollow, a family-owned winery, produces many of British Columbia's most distinctive and unique wines. Innovative, with a spirit to experiment with new wines and grapes, the winery team researched and planted grapes not commonly grow in the Okanagan but suited to the area soils and microclimate. These varietals include Tempranillo and Albarino from Spain, Grenache and Marsanne from the Rhone Valley and Dolcetto and Teraldago from Italy. These interesting varietals offer a new tasting experience for Okanagan Wine lovers allowing them to discover new wines from around the world but grown in Okanagan Falls.

A family-owned winery in Okanagan Falls, visited recently on a mid-Thursday afternoon on August with my dog Nanuq who was allowed to accompany me into the tasting room. Friendly staff ( forgot my reading glasses and supplied with a pair ), the tasting fee is...More

AS you discovered, we are dog friendly. WE enjoy not only meeting people from all over but also their dogs! I know this visit, you missed the winery dogs but they should be here on your next visit. Enjoy our Renaissance Merlot!

I guess in the summer many wineries are busy but finding a parking spot was a challenge to visit here. Pretty busy inside but the staff did ask people to group up - squish together - so others could taste as well. I did buy...More

Yes, there are some great wines to be had here - particularly the premium reds and we also enjoyed the Albarino. However, this was some of the worst service we've experienced at an Okanagan winery (and we have visited a lot). Very cold and unfriendly...More

I am sorry to hear you were unhappy with our tastings. We try to make it clear with all of our guests before they taste, how our tasting works, and that it will be complimentary when two or more bottles are purchased. As a small...More

Some of the wines here are fantastic! Delicious port wine, the tragically Vidal is nice and the cab franc is well balanced. No denying good quality of wines! Tasting room experience was probably our least favourite of the day. It just lacked the friendliness and...More

Some of the best reds in the valley. White wines have been good for some time, but this winery is an example of where you start to see a heavier red. I anticipate that the 2015 vintages will show very well.

Thanks Gary for the great comments on our wines. You are right.......the 2015 reds are developing beautifully in the cellar.

Stag's Hollow is an excellent winery. The wine is a consistent high quality. They produce wonderful whites and spectacular reds. It is a small winery with lovely friendly staff. They have previously been named BC Winery of the year for good reason - I highly...More

We were touring OK Falls wineries in the middle of October and I had checked their website to confirm they were open. Driving past about Noon we noted a "Closed" on their sign out by the road, when they posted being open at 11:00 daily....More

I am sorry we missed you. As a small winery, it can be very busy at harvest and all hands, including those in the tasting room, might be called on to help at the crush pad last minute. This has happened a few times this...More
