Blue Mountain is an estate dedicated to producing complex wines, consistent in style and quality from year to year. Located at south end of the valley with 31 hectares of vines planted, the property supplied grapes to other wineries for 21 years before the Mavety family founded the winery in 1991. In addition to Pinot Noir, the 12,000-case yearly production consists of Gamay Noir, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and a méthode traditionnel sparkling wine, all from estate grown grapes.

Make sure you go early in the season if you want to bring home any wines. Will sell out quickly. The Brut and the Pinot Noir are my favorites but unless you get on the mailing list, you will likely not be able to buy after June each year. The drive up the hill is beautiful, and the surroundings are... More

We were told the views here are amazing and to stop in. Had we known you needed to make an appointment for tastings we wouldn't have made the trip. Yes the views are great but this was the only winery we didn't get a tasting at. This should be published in the wine tour booklets promoting all the wineries so... More

We were checking out a number of wineries in OK Falls. When I checked, it showed the tasting room was open, so we drove out to the winery. It is located a number of miles down a single track road, then on reaching the winery you drive about another mile through the vines. On entering the tasting room, we got... More

A bit out of the way, but believe me it's worth the trouble, especially if you like good quality sparkling wines. Theirs are Champagne quality and very dry. Very good white wines as well. The service was also very good - very friendly and helpful (We were rather perplexed by the comments of the last reviewer). Highly recommended.

If you are visiting Liquidity Winery and Bistro, travel further along Allendale to the Blue Mountain Vineyard. Keep the faith, there really is a vineyard at the end of this country drive. You will probably be able to sample one of their famous bubblies, and I doubt you will leave without a bottle or two. They have no restaurant, but... More

We did a little OK Falls tour over the weekend and I will not be recommending Blue Mountain Winery. Ever. To anyone. Average wines, rude, disinterested, dismissive staff (when I mentioned it to a few industry friends they knew EXACTLY who served me) and it was the first time I have ever been charged for a tasting as an industry... We visited here to pick up some of their white wine as we couldn't find it anywhere in Kelowna. The views on the drive up were worth it alone. The wine tasting was fantastic and Chantelle was very very friendly and well informed on the winery. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

The wines of Blue Mountain Vineyard are exceptional. I have been a regular taster of their wines over the last 20 years or so. I am always amazed at the quality of their offerings. Unfortunately, I rarely get the same impression every time I go to their visitor's center. Not the friendliest and accommodating tasting centre in the valley. Since... More

We bought quite a few bottles of wine from this lovely vineyard. The area is very pretty and worth the drive. The person serving us was very knowledgeable.
