This is a shop, gallery and coffee shop complex just before the entrance to the cloud forest. Its main feature are the nectar feeders which means there is a constant supply of humming birds around. If you have a camera and like birds, this is a great place to come. I got some fantastic pictures of many different types of... More

What an awesome place!! Can't believe it's free! Located literally across the street from the Monteverde reserve. I couldn't believe the amount of beautiful hummingbirds that hovered within inches of my face. I was mesmerized! Be sure to visit during the late afternoon when all the critters come out. Besides the scores of beautiful hummingbirds, we saw an agoutis, an... More

The gallery is an easy walk just outside the reserve. There are lots of hummingbirds and others coming to the feeders. We stayed for about a 1/2 hour, because really all you are doing is watching the hummingbirds, but the are very pretty and there are a lot of birds to see.

At the Hummingbird Gallery at the entrance to the Monteverde Reserve was amazing. We caught the local bus from Santa Elena for C600 one way just to see the birds. There were lots, assorted sizes and colours. Well worth the visit.

Small little place to watch lots of hummingbirds eat from feeders. A dozen or more wild hummingbirds coming and going. But free. Interesting but not long.

This is a must if you are near here. The cafe hang bird feeders outside the building which I believe has sugar and water in them. The hummingbirds go nuts for this. We even had some of thebhummingbirds balancing on our hand to get the drink. We didn't have time to do the Cloud Forest but then we had done... More

We visited the hummingbird garden at Selvatura Park, as well. It was nice, but it is free to visit this cafe. There are innumerable hummingbirds everywhere. There are multiple feeders hanging and the hummingbirds are everywhere. If you stand really still with your finger near a feeder, they may perch on your finger while they feed. It's an amazing experience.... More

Fantastic place to visit, intended on staying for a short while but ended up there most of the afternoon. There are bird feeders located around the outside of the Coffee shop and you can get right up close to the Humming birds as they feed, gives great opportunity to take plenty of photographs. There most be at least 8 or... More

This place is wonderful, there are bird feeders in three areas and the hummingbirds are plentiful. We watched and photographed them for quite a while and enjoyed it immensely. And it is actually free of charge. Stop by and spend some time with the birds, you'll be glad you did.
