Fantastic day out with close animal encounters. My son's loved feeding the animal especially the Penguins. The only thing that let the day down was the food outlets. They are too busy and even fast food took over 1 hour

We had a great day out here. We were pleased to see the animals mixed in enclosures so in one enclosure we spotted reindeer, baboons, camels and giraffes. We particularly enjoyed the walk through the vulture enclosure but missed seeing the Pygmy hippos sadly as...More

Absolutely amazing experience if you love animals this is definately the best place to visit. You can feed giraffes penguins kangaroos emus etc... by hand!!!!

There is another smaller zoo called south lakes safari park on the A between cockermouth and keswick if you have sat navigation you will find it easily it's smaller and can be done in a few hours and is well worth a visit on... More

Loads of good places for camping in lakes plenty for all ages easy to get around and not far from the safari zoo
