A lovely, peaceful and serene place to walk around. They have an incredible herb garden that is fascinating. The property is well kept and has various places to sit and contemplate the serenity and peace. We visited on a week day and I suspect that...More

Kjøpe med deg...More

Nice and quiet this abbey, especially on a weekly day. Weekends are extremely busy and so take away the subdued atmosphere. It's a lovely small church and a beautiful, and a recently newly landscaped herbal garden, in which you can have a nice walk. This...More

The abbey is great for a sunday walk, all year round. In winter enjoy a meal in the resuatrant with an open fireplace, in summer enjoy the terrace. Don't forget to visit the shop for bread, cheese, ham, beer and ice-cream.

Although the well restored Abbaye of Postel can be very crowded on a sunny day or afternoon, there is still this unique sense of peace at the grounds of the abbaye. The large herb garden is well organised; some tinctures of these herbs can be...More

Nothing beats the peace and quiet of an Abbey. Have a stroll around the Abbey grounds and enjoy the splendid walking and biking tours in the forests around the perfectly restored and kept Abbey buildings and grounds. And with the added bonus of a refreshing...More

The Abbaye of Postel is definitely worth a visit on a sunny afternoon. From the little shops where you can buy old style bread or cheese to the peaceful atmosphere in this old village.

You can wander around and see inside the church. There is a small shop selling beer, cheese, sausage and loose tea mixes but NO samples! If they offered a couple of samples of the cheese I'd certainly have bought some. There is a herb garden...More

Quiet and peaceful place to walk about, with an interesting chapel. Small shop to buy the cheese, bread and of course beer. We really like the beer.
