Long having been a great spot for oratory and small performances, the Thomas Foster is a landmark just north of the town of Uxbridge. The ceiling and other parts of the memorial building has been deteriorating, but has been put right. The acoustics are wonderful.

During the Depression, former Toronto Mayor Thomas Foster, helped to stimulate the economy by spending $250,000. Was this a monument to Foster's ego or a huge benefit to the community? I think some of both. Regardless, this is a stunning building inspired by Fosters visit to the Taj Mahal. Foster, his wife and daughter (who was only ten when she... More

A real gem within the countryside of rural Uxbridge. Enjoy the magnificence of Thomas Foster's final resting place amidst the gold mosaics, stunning architecture and rolling seven second echo.

There is a donation of 5$ each for adults to take a brief tour of the grounds and inside. Travis gave a well detailed and interesting account of the history and it's architecture. Thanks.... More
