Our tour guide / driver (Edith) picked us up at our hotel in a very timely manner and greeted us with the biggest smile you could ever ask for. On our way to the departure point, she gave us history of some of the areas we were passing through and took us off the main road to show us ( there was also an American couple on the same tour), certain historical landmarks. She informed us that the regular boat they usually charter was being serviced and that we would be using an alternative boat.
The boat we got was “Cool Runnings”, which initially we were not to sure about as it seemed to be a party boat with loud music, etc and my girlfriend wasn’t too keen about as she wanted something a little less noisy and crowded, but we left it in Edith’s capable hands, and she didn’t disappoint. She took care of us and the other couple on the boat, always ensuring that we were ok and even provided us with snorkel gear as that boat didn’t cater for that. She entertained our little group throughout the entire tour which encompassed Buccoo Reef, Nylon Pool and No Mans Land.
The vibe actually turned out to be pretty good, as we danced to the variety of music the boat captain played, and we bonded with our new American friends Mike and Maya who were visiting TT for the first time.
After the tour, the boat dropped us back at Pigeon Point and Edith took us back safely to our hotel.
I gave the overall tour a “very good” rating, but the star of the show was our tour guide Edith as she made the trip quite memorable for our group, and I’d give her Five Stars.
