We did so much on the store. Well worth the money Carmen was our guide and was very nice and helpful. She answered all my questions. You get to see so much of Guatemala on this trip and do so much. I highly recommend it.

Our day spent with Miguel was so lovely. He took us to see interesting Mayan demonstrations of textile weaving, harvesting honey, and making coffee and chocolate. He taught us about Mayan history and culture and was engaging and flexible with us all day. One small miscommunication was that our lunch was supposed to be included, but at lunch we were told we had to pay for our own drinks. In the future, it would be helpful to make this clear to travelers ahead of time for transparency.

Excellent tour through the various villages surrounding Lake Atítlan. Hotel pickup and breakfast are provided, lunch and all other purchases are on you. Such an enriching experience exploring cultures so vastly different than our own. Highly recommend!

I did the sunrise hike with Salvador. He picked me up from my hotel in Santa Cruz at 3:30 am by boat (no group tours leave from this town so I had to do a private tour). We then took a shuttle with multiple other passengers up the mountain. The hike itself only lasted 30 minutes but was very steep and it was dark, so bring a flashlight! We stopped at a lookout point and Salvador explained more about the history of the area, from the people who live there to agriculture to the geographic changes over thousands of years. We made it with plenty of time before the sunrise (about 5:15 am) and got free hot coffee and bread from the landowner. The sunrise was beautiful and we stayed up there for about an hour. Then we hiked down, took the shuttle and he dropped me off by boat once my at my hotel in Santa Cruz. I highly recommend Salvador as your tour guide, he will not disappoint!

Our guide, Mario, scooped us in Pana at 3:30 am and with a driver safely delivered us in the dark to the start of our hike. He led us up the short but steep path, and we experienced a magical sunrise from above the clouds.

I recently chaperoned a student group (high school) to Antigua and we wanted to go Pana for a day and visit the surrounding towns of Lake Atitlan. Voyageur was easy to work with from the States and responded promptly to my questions. On the day of the trip we arrived late to Pana from Antigua due to traffic and students that needed a longer rest stop. When the guide (Alejandro) explained that we could only fit in one town, he explained a little about each one and asked which I preferred. I thought he did a great job listening to my requests for a town that had a bit of culture and history and less shopping. He took us to Santiago and explained about the political conflicts and the impact of the civil war. He also did a great job explaining the power of the Catholic church and the complexities of merging Mayan beliefs into that power structure. The students had a worthwhile experience and I felt very safe while chaperoning my group. I also want to say thanks to Julio our bus driver. He was courteous and seemed to enjoy the group of students...even when they played music in the back of the bus! One of the students really wanted to practice speaking Spanish with him and he invited him to sit up front and they discussed all sorts of topics as they drove. Thank you Julio and Alejandro! Thanks Voyageur Tours!

No problems with round transport and hike was short yet extremely satisfying, with an excellent view of the sunrise and the lake at the top where we were given some coffee.

100% recommended but would suggest backpackers to book the tour from Atitlan as it is easily half the price and they are always available!

Everything was great. Elizabeth took us to the local vegtable and fruit market, we shopped together and afyerwards cooked a typical Guatemalan dish in her open kitchen overlooking the beautiful lake Atitlan. Elizabeth explained about the village, the food and shared her personal unique story . All together is was an exceptional experience.

We really enjoyed our time with David. He introduced us to knowledgeable guides who taught us about traditional Mayan chocolate making, traditional Mayan spinning, dyeing and weaving and bee keeping and preservation. He shared some words from his native Mayan language with us and showed us how to recognize genuine handicrafts.

Our tourist guide was Adoldo, a very friendly person who knows a lot about Guatemala. The lake was worth visiting and the towns around it have beautiful handicrafts.
