Tokyo:
Japan is one of the best countries we’ve ever visited, the people are so friendly and the cities and scenery are amazing. Our guide May Takahasi made things even nicer by giving us genuine answers/information. He would go even beyond what is expected from him. He helped us when needed and was genuine in every way possible. Our private tours in Tokyo were on 2 different full days (14/03/23 + 22/03/23). He reached out to us before our tours. On both occasions, he picked us up from the hotel. We had wonderful tours in Tokyo from the range of imperial palace east garden, Tsukiji, Asakusa, park Ueno, river cruise along dinner in Tsukishima. We had a taste of some Japanese street food : chikuwa/tamagoyaki omelette, mocchi ice cream.
We also shared some Japanese traditional food such as monja-yaki, okonomi-yaki, yaki-soba noodles etc.. in Tsukishima.
May is a very knowledgeable guide about all the places we went to. A pleasure talking to him about Japanese life and many other aspects . He was great to talk to about everything and anything. His general knowledge, maturity and English fluency are just some of his assets.
We had a feeling of having a real Japanese friend as a guide.

Levin was informative, patient, catered to everyone’s questions and most all very funny - which made the tour more enjoyable.
The best tour for us by far as it’s our first time in Japan.

Not only did she guide me through all these places, she was quite informative and made navigating through Tokyo way easier! It so cool to see so much all in one day! Even after the tour was done she still sent me more info to enjoy my trip further! - nissa w1 contributionAre you new to Tokyo? Kazu is your guide. We had 3 jet-lagged kids who had been up since 03:00, and he was very patient and sweet with us. He has good energy. He teaches you how to navigate the transportation systems with ease. The maps here aren’t always oriented to north, so it can be confusing, and Google Maps isn’t always 100% accurate. Also, the labeling of the metro is different than the ones in the US and Europe, so it was great to get a crash course from him. He even made sure we got back to our hotel easily (we were over the scheduled time) and took us into a “conveni” to get dinner heated to bring up to the hotel room before we crashed!
I will say that the guides here aren’t throwing out constant facts like they do in other places, but more so guiding you to have particular experiences and cultural understandings.
He takes good family pictures for you. He doesn’t settle with just one, you get different angles for choices!

- Raquel18 contributionsOur guides Alex and Wes made a great pair walking us through Shinjuku's top foodie areas and we attended three mindfully curated restaurants, along with a bar at Golden Gai. What made our experience at these restaurants so meaningful was the care that Alex and Wes put in to explaining every facet of the restaurant to us. A wonderful example of this is how to tell if a ramen shop is good by looking at the windows - if you're curious about the answer, be sure to book a tour with Alex and Wes to find out more :)
Beyond their obvious knowledge and expertise, both Alex and Wes made a point to ground their explanations about food and places with their own experience, which made the stories they told us come to life. We left Shinjuku with not only a deep understanding of food, but rather how that food fits into the vibrant Shinjuku ecosystem. An added bonus is all of the tidbits they shared about the area as we walked to each restaurant. - Mir SHouston, TX1 contributionI realized I didn't leave a review when I went, but here's one a month after! Jeremy was an absolute class act. He made me aware that because there may be a chance the parking area would close early, if it would be possible to leave a little earlier. He also let me know that he'd have to group together a couple tours from that night so everyone can experience the meet, which I had no issue with. Ended up making a couple friends from the same area I'm from. Jeremy was very knowledgeable about car culture in Japan as well. - maggie44113262 contributionsRoyce personalized our tour to accommodate my son’s request to show me Akihabara. Although we could have navigated the train system ourselves it was nice not to have to waste time doing that since Royce knew exactly how to get there. He also showed us a retro gaming store which made my son incredibly happy. So many “maids” on the streets even Royce was amazed. Nice walk through Ueno Park (all museums closed due to Coronavirus) but there is much to see anyway. The Ameyoko market is quite a sight to see and I know my son will return after I leave Tokyo. - RB_90Perth, Australia58 contributionsMy tour guide Sachi was excellent and professional throughout the day. I was able to personalise my tour which was great and communication by email before the tour was excellent. Her english was also good.
She met me at my hotel and was on time. We visited Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Tokyo Skytree, Senso-ji Temple, Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center.
She provided additional information about the places I had inquired about during the tour and we took many great photos. Even though it was raining during the day I still enjoyed the tour as my guide and I had many conversations along the way. Sachi also got me a suica card in advanced for me to save time and even showed me how to recharge the suica card. With so many subway lines it can become confusing but with Sachi near my side I became more familiar in navigating taking the subway. I was informed about the customs and traditions in Japan which was interesting to know also.
Our lunch was at a restaurant in Asakusa with a view too. Had a good conversation about Hachiko which was good. Thank You Sachi for showing me the other statue.

So enjoyable on this 6 hour bike ride through the city. Highly recommend. Ride is 95% flat.
