- Desiré VUmkomaas, South Africa6 contributionsSuch a surprise! Beautiful upkept walk-way throughout the nature reserve. Clean grounds all over. Friendly park assistent checking vitals and takeing necessary Covid19 precautions and safety officers on duty. Birds in abundance and scenery beautiful but toilet not operational and needs repair. Well worth the walk through & the last stretch on the beach towards Promanade was a plesant undertaking. Will definately do this again on my next visit.Written 12 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

It requires team work otherwise you will not be successful at all.
It develops lateral thinking.Written 10 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The pricing structure is very limited and currently costs R95 per person (including my 2 year old) and if you just want to spectate then R50. The play price includes 45 mins and you enter on the hour. The price includes the snow play area and the ice slides which my toddler was too young to do so I would hope that in the future they will have just a play price to enjoy the snow park only. Near the front of the attraction, the snow was clean but towards the back it was very dirty and slushy. My wife, who accompied my toddler on the snow mentioned that the back wall (used for snow ball throwing) was in serious need of maintenance. The music rather than atmospheric which, in my opinion would be better suited to an arctic themed play area, was a very loud african tribal music and did not lend itself to the theme.Written 19 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - B.C.QAGELADurban, South Africa423 contributionsThe park is big, very clean, safe , secure site with patrol guards. There is a large lake in the canter of the park. The amphitheatre proving a good venue for any kind of activity be it music festival, entertainment or sporting games. The park is available for hire for certain public events & private corporate events. However, weddings 21st birthdays or other private parties are not permitted.Written 8 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Fazana DDurban, South Africa4 contributionsWe had two parties in one for my daughter turning 7 and the other turning 9. There were two groups of kids. I must admit I was worried as to how it would turn out cos of the number of kids and I thought it would be too noisy a venue but I must say I was pleasantly surprised, the staff were exceptional and the kids had a fantastic time. The duration is 2 hrs, 1 hr for bowling and the other for party and eats. They actually turn down the music when you sing. You can bring anything you want for the party except for drinks which wasn't a problem really cos you can pre-order any drink. There was no stress with the booking or queries and the staff were extremely helpful on that day. I was very satisfied...Written 26 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Diane Lesley44 contributionsI went for a full body massage and I thought I’d died and gone to heaven by the end of the appointment. Excellent massage in a relaxed setting with lovely extra touches like a hot towel at the end to remove the massage oil. The team is fantastic.Written 10 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brian Castle3 contributionsWe chose Southern Circle for a 10 day South Africa tour based on intensive internet research and we are so glad that we did. They were excellent in every respect - from the initial helpful contact with Debbie in the office; the tour guides, David, Beate and Shane who were all superb; a full, exciting itinerary and overnight stays in some beautiful hotels in some stunning settings. The company fully delivered in providing us with an insight into two amazing countries - as well as SA we also loved our time in Eswatini. David and Shane, our principal guides were informative, punctual, caring and a pleasure to spend time with - both are now regular WhatsApp friends - and we were very fortunate to be the only couple on this tour which was then tailored to our personal preferences. This is an exceptional tour company that we would recommend without hesitation and we sincerely hope that we will have the opportunity to travel with them again in the not too distant future.Written 30 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Samantha S1 contributionThis has to be, by far, the most horrible place of so-called indulgence. I write this as I sit in their reception area having what is supposed to be a deluxe pedicure (yes you read right...their reception area! My legs are currently balancing on two ottomans that have clearly seen better days!!!) I received a gift voucher for this place and phoned and made a booking. When I arrived I was told that there was no booking on the system. If I wanted to be seen to I would "just have to wait" As I could not wait, I asked them to extend the validity period of the voucher. The receptionist refused. I then asked for the manager. Whilst I was waiting in their reception area this therapist just arrived and started setting up her stuff next to me on the floor. Not a word of greeting, nothing. She has thus far been totally non-communicative. As are the rest of the staff! The place is filthy. The therapist appears to have never done a pedicure in her life. Absolutely zero technique. No interest at all in what she's doing. She's currently hugging her friend whilst bending my foot in ways that it is not meant to bend. Earlier on, she stopped what she was doing to talk to another lady about nail polish. She's actually hurting me. I'm about ready to call it a day. Please don't waste your time or money on this place! I would actually pay money to never ever have to come back here again!!!Written 26 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - World Traveler7 contributionsWe took a day tour with Umhlanga Explorer. We found out about them from one of their drivers from their transfer division.
The day tour of Durban was informative we got to sample the authentic Durban Bunny Chow at one of the local eateries which was amazing. We'd never be able to find such a place were it not for the driver guide taking us to a local place. Durban is an interesting coastal city!!
We then did a safari trip with them to Hluhluwe game reserve and did St Lucia Estuary as well. It was a packed day trip. The drive was long but well worth the experience.
We didn't get to see all of the big five but saw three of the Big Five which was amazing and made our trip.
They are a niche agency and you'd have to find them on the first floor of the Umhlanga Plaza building which may not be so easy so best to call or email them.
Seems they've been in business for quite a while and do work countrywide but just hidden. We found them professional to say the least.
Will recommend them.Written 27 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
